Cades Welcomes New Partners: Trever K. Asam and Keri Ann K.S. Krzykowski
Cades is pleased to welcome two new partners, Trever K. Asam and Keri Ann K.S. Krzykowski. Both Trever and Keri Ann have distinguished themselves in their practice of law and in the community.
TREVER K. ASAM represents taxpayers in tax controversies and disputes with IRS and the Hawai`i State Department of Taxation. He handles audits, administrative appeals, and litigation in both the federal and state courts, including the courts of appeal. While at Duke University School of Law, Mr. Asam was the recipient of the Douglas A. Poe Mordecai Scholarship and an editor for the Journal of Law and Contemporary Problems. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Asam was a teacher in the District of Columbia Public Schools. He is a regular speaker on Hawai`i State taxation and the taxation of nonprofit organizations.
KERI ANN K.S. KRZYKOWSKI is a registered patent attorney who concentrates her practice in intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and licensing. She counsels clients on all aspects of foreign and domestic intellectual property portfolio management. She also represents clients in trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and in litigation matters before the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawai`i. Ms. Krzykowski received her B.S. in Biological Sciences magna cum laude from the University of Southern California, and her law degree cum laude from the University of Hawai`i William S. Richardson School of Law.
