Calvert G. Chipchase is an associate practicing in the areas of commercial real estate, appellate litigation and land use, zoning and entitlements.
Since 2004, Mr. Chipchase has also served as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer at the University of Hawaii, Richardson School of Law. He has taught and lectured on appellate advocacy, legal practice, real property, land use and scholarly writing. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Chipchase has published on a variety of subjects, including regulatory takings, the public trust, water rights, federal courts, the Commerce Clause and the right to travel.
Before joining Cades Schutte, Mr. Chipchase clerked for the Honorable Richard R. Clifton, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Honorable Alan C. Kay, United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.
