Amanda M. Jones is an associate in the Litigation Department. She joined the firm in 2007. Ms. Jones concentrates her practice on civil and commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She is a member of the firm's employment law and labor relations practice group and is an editor of the Hawaii Employment Law Letter. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Jones worked as a news reporter and anchor for the ABC affiliate in Biloxi, Mississippi.

EDUCATION

Ms. Jones graduated summa cum laude from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. While in law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the University of Hawaii Law Review and published two articles analyzing issues related to constitutional law and workers' compensation. Ms. Jones also received numerous scholastic awards, including CALI Excellence for the Future Awards (in Administrative Law, Appellate Advocacy, and International Law), the Carl K. Mirikitani, Jr. Scholarship, Michael P. Porter Scholastic Award, and the James E.T. Koshiba Law Review Scholarship.

Ms. Jones graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Journalism degree and a minor in political science. She is also a graduate of Castle High School in Kaneohe.

  • Represented employers in civil litigation involving wrongful termination claims
