Jacqueline B. Kido is an associate in the Litigation Department. She joined the firm in 2007. Ms. Kido received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Hawaii and earned her law degree from the UCLA School of Law in 2007. A member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the American Bar Association, she is admitted to practice before all Hawaii courts, the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Kido came to Cades Schutte with a strong background in public policy. In the wake of Hurricane Iniki, a storm that resulted in more than $2 billion damage to the island of Kauai, she was selected at the age of 29 from more than 100 applicants to serve as spokesperson for Kauai Mayor JoAnn Yukimura. Ms. Kido later served as State President of the League of Women Voters of Hawaii. In 1998 she accepted the post of Director of Communications for Hawaii Governor Benjamin Cayetano, a capacity in which she served for four years.
