Mitsuko Takahashi is an associate in the Litigation Department, concentrating in the areas of commercial and real estate litigation and medical malpractice. She joined the firm in 2009.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Ms. Takahashi graduated from Punahou School, obtained her B.A., summa cum laude, in Liberal Arts with concentration in Social Behavioral Sciences from Soka University in 2005, and received her law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawaii, in 2008. As a law student, she received the CALI Award in Appellate Advocacy (Legal Practice II) and Advance Torts & Insurance Law, Best Brief of Section and Best Overall Brief Awards, and ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship. She served as co-captain of the National Environmental Law Moot Court Team, which placed second overall in 2008, a teaching assistant and senior writing associate on the Writing Center Board, and an intern for the Honorable Simeon R. Acoba, Jr. of the Hawaii Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Cades Schutte, Ms. Takahashi clerked for the Honorable Daniel R. Foley of the Intermediate Court of Appeals, State of Hawaii. She is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the American Bar Association and is admitted to practice before all Hawaii courts and the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.
