Douglas D. Frederick is an associate in the Litigation Department, concentrating in commercial and real estate litigation. He joined the firm in 2009.
Mr. Frederick serves as an adjunct professor at the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawaii. He lectures on legal writing and advocacy as a Legal Practice II (Appellate Advocacy) faculty member.
Before joining Cades Schutte, Mr. Frederick served as a Law Clerk to Senior District Judge Alan C. Kay of the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Frederick was an English teacher for the Osaka Prefectural School District, Osaka, Japan.
Mr. Frederick is proficient in spoken and written Japanese.
