Like our clients, Cades Schutte is a proud contributor to our community.
We are proud to serve our community, and we’re committed to making our State a great place to live, work and play through pro bono work and charitable giving with the same commitment we dedicate to our clients. That’s why we support scores of local charities and leading arts and culture organizations with not just our wallets but our hands and our hearts.
Our firm supports organizations and foundations throughout the Hawaiian Islands, and through volunteer service, our team of attorneys and staff help countless more.
Our activities are broad and varied, and range from serving leadership positions in the major cultural, educational, and charitable institutions of Hawai‘i to assisting individuals in need. We are committed to building our community and State, and we participate in the annual Hawai‘i Foodbank Food Drive, collecting and donating more than three tons of food each year. In 2015 and 2016 Aloha United Way celebrated our support with the Spirit of the Community Award, honoring our commitment to our community.
Many of our attorneys are, or have been, members of the adjunct faculty at the William S. Richardson School of Law and other academic institutions. Several attorneys currently serve as chairs of charitable organization boards, and many others serve, or have served, as board members. Our attorneys have also led arts organizations such as Ballet Hawai‘i, Manoa Valley Theater, and Diamond Head Theatre, as well as educational and human services organizations. Others have been active in the Hawai‘i State Bar Association and other non-profit legal organizations by leading sections and various committees. Several of our partners have served as past presidents of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association and of the Hawai‘i Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Still others have been active in athletic organizations ranging from surfing to ice hockey.
Community involvement ties in to one of the most important aspects of our firm’s values—SERVICE.
