Paul Saito Invited to Speak at the Hawai`i Employers Council 2014

Litigation Partner, Paul Saito joins Coalition for a Drug-Free Hawai`i’s Alan Shinn and Michelle Park in a seminar titled To Rehabilitate or Not to Rehabilitate: Substance Abuse in the Workplace. The seminar will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Hawai`i Employers Council.

In this seminar, tips are examined to maintain a safe, drug and alcohol free workplace.  You will learn the benefits of maintaining a substance free workplace and what legal considerations must take place when implementing drug testing and substance abuse policies.  Paul Saito will cover drafting and implementing appropriate drug testing procedures and substance abuse policies to fit any organization, whether you’re a private employer, or in transportation or union environments.

Paul Saito, Partner at Cades Schutte, LLP exclusively represents and provides consultation to employers in labor and employment matters. He has extensive litigation, administrative, and arbitration experience in employee/union relations, discrimination, hiring and discharge, counseling, wage and hour matters, workplace violence, wrongful termination, as well as general labor and employment areas. In addition to his law practice, Paul has been active in community organizations. He is a member of the Rotary of Honolulu and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee. Paul was honored by the Chamber of Commerce of Hawai`i with its Chairman’s Award and President’s Award in appreciation of the countless hours he has devoted to representing employers before the Hawai`i Legislature.
