Jeffrey S. Portnoy to speak on the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii Panel – Lockdowns, testing and tracking: Are they all really legal?

Constitutional attorneys Jeffrey Portnoy of Cades Schutte and Robert Thomas of Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert will be the featured guests at the next Grassroot Institute of Hawaii webinar.  As Hawaii slowly reopens, Portnoy and Thomas will consider whether businesses destroyed or devastated by the lockdowns have any legal recourse, and whether proposals being suggested to revive Hawaii’s devastated tourism industry, such as replacing the 14-day quarantines with various forms of testing and tracking, might violate constitutional privacy protections.

After short presentations, Portnoy and Thomas will talk briefly with Keli‘i Akina, Grassroot Institute president, and answer questions fielded from the audience.
