News Campbell Pohai Nuuhiwa

Pacific Business News announced the honorees for the selective 40 Under 40 Awards this year, and Cades Schutte is proud to announce that Pōhai Nu‘uhiwa Campbell has been selected. The 40 Under 40 Awards recognize young professionals who are making a difference in the workplace and shaping the future of our community.

Pōhai is an attorney in Cades Schutte’s Trusts & Estates Group. Her work broadly encompasses the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and contested trust and estate matters and court proceedings.

She devotes a substantial amount of her time to pro bono legal representation, including acting as originating attorney for pro bono client Pu‘uhonua O Waianae (POW), a community of approximately 250 people currently living unhoused on the edge of the Waianae Boat Harbor on the leeward side of Oahu, and volunteering her time with firm pro bono initiatives such as the Access to Justice Room and Legal Lines.

“I am honored to congratulate Pōhai on behalf of Cades Schutte,” said Amanda M. Jones of Cades Schutte’s Management Committee. “Pōhai has shown a dedication to both the legal field and her community, exemplifying that success can be achieved while balancing different priorities and maintaining a positive outlook. I am confident that she has a bright future ahead of her and will continue to build on her accomplishments to make an impact.”

In addition to Pōhai’s achievements noted above, she also serves as Director on the Board of Hawaii Women Lawyers and Hawai‘i Nature Center, Treasurer of the HSBA Elder Law Section, and a member of the HSBA Well-Being Task Force Report Committee. In her spare time, she also leads a small business, Kaleimamo Hawai‘i, which specializes in making cloth diapers and other eco-friendly products available for our community. Her business routinely gives back to the community by donating a portion of its proceeds to Native Hawaiian-based and local non-profit organizations.
