Cades Schutte partner Andrea K. Ushijima presented a seminar on real estate and finance at the annual ‘Business Boot Camp’ law student event at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa William S. Richardson School of Law on January 30, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Andrea’s session focused on real estate acquisitions and financing from the perspective of the acquiring borrower and lenders. She reviewed the process involved in the acquisition of a property for development into a mixed-use condominium project and the financing of the property acquisition and construction of the project.
The Business Boot Camp series introduces law school students to practical financial and business concepts to lay the groundwork for the students’ commercial and business courses, and to provide an understanding of what transactional legal work entails. This is the 6th year the University of Hawaiʻi has hosted the two-day event for their law students, and Cades Schutte is a proud sponsor.
