HONOLULU (July 2, 2025)-In a continued commitment to community service and legal empowerment, attorneys from Cades Schutte volunteered their time and expertise to sponsor the Honolulu Access to Justice Room (ATJR) throughout the month of May.
For more than ten years, the firm has supported the ATJR annually, reinforcing its dedication to access to justice. This year’s team of volunteers included: Ellen R. Ashford, Jarrett A. Dempsey, Rio H. Kwon, Kelly G. LaPorte, Darene K. Matsuoka, Caitlin M. Moon, Mark K. Murakami, Reyn S. P. Ono, Kristin S. Shigemura, Hiʻilanikuuhiwahiwa D. T. Thomas, Andrea K. Ushijima, and Nicole K. C. Yamane.
Established in 2012, the ATJR serves as a vital resource for self-represented litigants facing legal challenges such as landlord-tenant disputes, debt collections, and restraining orders. By providing pro bono legal guidance, it offers crucial support to those navigating the court system alone.
